Comment: horrible stuff, don't waste your money unless you like to look fake. this stuff runs and yes, i followed the instructions correctly. Even had help from a friend on the other leg and it still comes out horrible. I can't wait til my skin flakes off and I can be normal again. ugh what a waste

Summary: TAKE THE ADVICE OF AN AIRBRUSH TECHNICIAN... HORRIBLE!
Comment: I am a college student and do airbrush tanning at a salon near my campus. As somebody who is really practiced at self tanning, I am telling you do not waste your money! I was home for the weekend and didn't have my tanning kit, so I tried this out. I am fair-skinned and this literally did not make me one shade darker... YES I USED IT CORRECTLY. My sister used it as well, and there was zero visible difference. I was so irritated that I had to write a review. If you want a good fake tan, go to a tanning salon or use L'oreal sunless tanning lotion or gel. Trust me!

Comment: So we get hardly any sun here sometimes, and lo and behold, the sun DID shine one day, and I managed to obtain an extreme farmers tan. I was horrified and ran to the internet to find out what is the best product out there to even my skin out.

Applying this was easy, and I followed the directions on the can. I could not find the "extra tips for application" on the Neutrogena website, so I tried to do my best.
First, spraying my chest and shoulders was easy - big sweeping motions, BEING CAREFUL NOT TO SPRAY TOO MUCH IN ONE AREA. Now the back of my shoulders - PROBLEM! I highly recommended asking someone to do this for you, as I could not reach, sprayed anyways, and 2 big streaks the next day down my back from dripping.
The front part of my body looked great! I was 2 shades darker by morning (I did this right before bed). I do remember it did not dry within "5 min" as advertised. I felt sticky still after 10 min, and decided to wear a long sleeve loose top to bed. Worked great with the top on - no smudges.
Thankfully I can hide the streaks in the back with a tank top, unfortunately not with a bathing suit. Well, it's something I have to live with until it fades.
And, the stuff does stink. I used a fan on my face for 10 min to help dry and get the odor out of my room.
But for a spray tan in a bottle for $[...], the tan parts of me look pretty. And if you get someone to spray your back, you should be good to go for evening out farmer tan lines.
I did not try this on my face or legs.

Summary: Best Self Tanner I've Used
Comment: I knew from the beginning not to just spray and then leave it on. You HAVE to rub it in and even it out. But when you do, my goodness its amazing! It looks so natural and even, I've never used such a balanced fake tanner. Apple all over your body (including knees, elbows, hands, ankles) but before you're done.. rub those areas liberally with a good lotion. This will cause the tan to be even throughout your body. Make sure to wash under your nails too!

Comment: I have found this to be one of the best self tanning products on the market.
My secret to using this product is after applying it, without rubbing it in, I dry my skin with a hair dryer set on low.
I always get an excellent finish, but I am very careful on making sure I apply it evenly, sure to not miss any areas. Almost like painting, overlapping each stroke and not to spray too close to skin.
I always lay a towel on the floor for the over spray or I apply while standing in an empty tub, then run the water to clean the tub.
